Closed-count review

A manager’s read of a saved count after it closes. The review shows the saved close summary, the recorded discrepancy summary and the closure references behind it, then saves one factual acknowledgment.

The saved close

Start with the count that was closed.

The review list shows recent closed counts that recorded a discrepancy. Open one to see the saved close summary, its hashes and the acknowledgment state. Individual expected entries and observations stay in the established count history and observation workspace; this review list stays a short recent queue.

The review is available to owners, administrators and managers in the active store. Each review stays within the active store.

The queue is for closed counts with a recorded discrepancy. Other counts remain readable in count history. See how count history keeps individual entries

The record

Read the close exactly as it was saved.

The saved close summary shows the expected count at the start, the distinct expected items observed, the items not observed by the cutoff, repeated observations, unexpected local observations, unmatched observations and the total observation events. The closing manager, close time and close note stay with those facts.

The baseline, observation head and closure hash stay visible for the record. The page checks the complete saved observation chain and shows the saved close summary and hashes; individual expected entries and observations remain in count history, so the review reads from the saved evidence rather than today’s item state.

That distinction matters after a busy stock day. A manager can read what the count recorded at the time without reopening the count or rewriting its observations.

The note

Write down what you reviewed.

Before saving, the manager confirms the exact closed count and writes a factual note of 10 to 1,000 characters describing what was reviewed. The note becomes part of the acknowledgment, so it should describe the saved record rather than propose a stock change.

One acknowledgment is saved for that closed count. The saved receipt keeps the note, the close facts and its request, closure and receipt references, so the manager’s review can be found again without recreating it.

If the outcome of a save is uncertain, the original acknowledgment receipt is the record to check before a deliberate retry.

What it means

A record of review, not a stock correction.

Acknowledging a closed count records that a manager reviewed the saved evidence. It does not adjust stock, quantities, custody, prices, money or tax, and it does not declare a missing piece lost, resolve a discrepancy or certify a physical count.

Use it to close the manager’s side of the count record: the count stays closed, the observations stay as recorded, and the acknowledgment gives the store a clear note on who reviewed the close and when.

Review the close with the record behind it.

Open a saved closed count, read the saved summary, and leave one factual note.
