Return to stock
Return a quarantined piece to stock only after a manager reviews it.
An approved cash return leaves the piece in quarantine. A manager checks its resale condition, records a factual note and releases that exact piece to available stock. The review is saved, and the original refund is not repeated.
01 · Quarantine
Start with the approved return.
Only an already approved whole-cash return can enter this review. The piece must still be the exact item in the same store’s return quarantine, with its original return, approval and refund evidence.
The original refund and receipt stay as recorded. This review does not issue another refund or reopen the return decision.
- Approved whole-cash return.
- The exact quarantined piece.
- The same store.
- Original refund evidence retained.
The return and refund are already complete. This step only decides whether that exact piece can leave quarantine for available stock.
02 · Review
A manager checks the resale condition.
The manager looks at the actual piece and decides whether it is acceptable for resale. They record an accepted assessment and a required factual note about condition, defects, completeness and anything a future buyer should know.
The note needs 3–1,000 readable characters. If the piece is not accepted for resale, it stays in quarantine and no stock status changes.
- Manual condition review.
- Accepted assessment recorded.
- Required factual note.
- Not accepted means still quarantined.
The note is review evidence. It is not authentication, an appraisal or a statement that the piece is genuine.
03 · Release
The exact piece moves to available stock.
Before the change, the app checks the current item, return and refund evidence again, along with holds, reservations, transfers, refining custody and the latest sale. A blocked piece cannot be released.
When those checks pass, the exact item moves from return quarantine to available stock. A review receipt records the manager, time, note, reviewed item and the basis for the review.
- Current custody rechecked.
- Holds and reservations rechecked.
- One exact item released.
- Review receipt saved.
04 · Unchanged
The price and money records stay put.
The asking price, cost basis and currency stay as they were. The review creates no cash movement, tender, till entry, tax, refund or sale. A later sale is a separate transaction, and a price change remains a separate pricing decision.
- Asking price unchanged.
- Cost unchanged.
- Currency unchanged.
- No cash, tax, refund or sale.
Only the exact quarantined piece moves. This action does not authenticate, appraise, scrap, transfer, repair or otherwise dispose of stock.
Scope
Where this review fits.
This is a manager review for an already approved whole-cash return. It does not approve a return, issue a refund, accept a partial item, handle an exchange or put every returned piece back automatically.
The original return, approval and refund records remain the source. The review adds the condition decision and the stock release to that history.
- After the refund is approved.
- Whole-cash returns only.
- One piece at a time.
- No automatic restocking.
Review returns at the counter.
A manager can see what is waiting, record the condition and keep the refund, price and stock record together.
